“ITALIAN BOTANICAL SOCIETY AWARD”
Also in 2011 the grant “Società Botanica Italiana Award” will be assigned to new PhDs who discussed their thesis during the period 2008 - 2010 on topics related to Botany, Taxonomy, Environmental and Pharmaceutical Botany.
The grant is of 500,00 Euros which will be assigned to the Ph Doctor who have submitted the best study.
Ph Doctors, S.B.I. members in order with the association fee payment, should send a copy of their thesis to the address Via G. La Pira 4 - 50121 Firenze, untill 31st May 2011 reporting the related disciplinary class.
The evaluation commitee is constituted by the Directive Council members. According to the judgement commitee the grant might be not assigned.
The grant will be awarded by the President during the Members Assembly during the 106° Congress in Genoa.
BEST SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTION AWARD FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS
To encourage the participation of young researchers and their contribution to the Congress, the Italian Botanical Society will honor the best scientific contribution (posters) of which the first author has no more than 30 years (born after 12/31/1980).
The prize consists in refund of registration fee and will be officially assigned by the President during the General Assembly on the occasion of the 106th Congress in Genoa.
The participants, members of S.B.I. in good standing with dues, must indicate their participation at the time of abstracts submission reporting at the bottom of the same words "PARTICIPATION IN THE AWARD FOR BEST YOUNG SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTION".

PROCEEDINGS OF THE CONGRESS
Since this year the abstracts will be provided in electronic format (USB drive).
The Proceedings will form the number 73 of the online journal "Bulletin of the Biological Science Museums and Institutes" BMIB University of Genoa (http://www.bmib.it).
